Steps to Certification
Here’s what to expect from our NCCCO test prep course.
Day 1
The first day of the class covers general crane knowledge and is designed to help you specifically prepare for the NCCCO Crane Operator's written exam. This class is for new certifications and recertifications alike.

Day 2
The second day of the class goes in-depth on load charts for all crane types and provides opportunities for each candidate to get one-on-one help. Students will be given access to online practice exams for the week.

Written Exam
Students will return to class (usually one week later, proctor availability permitting) to take the written exam for their chosen specialties. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the Mobile Core exam and 60 minutes for each crane specialty type.

Practical Exams
New candidates must also pass hands-on or practical exams for their chosen specialty types. Practical exams are scheduled based on the candidates' availability and may be taken within a year of the written exam.

About Crane Safety Consultants
Crane Safety Consultants offers a two-day class to prepare candidates for the NCCCO written exam, taught by a world-class instructor with 40 years of crane operating experience under his belt.
Each course is designed to teach candidates how to understand and read charts, properly set up cranes, and become familiar with safety regulations and state laws governing crane operation, and is backed by our test pass guarantee.
After the course is completed, Crane Safety Consultants will handle the scheduling of the NCCCO test date for each candidate and act as site coordinator. We are also accredited to perform practical exams. Both practical and written exams can be done at our location or yours.
